Sarnia FC U12 Premier Team on a Roll
Tuesday july 29, 2014

The Sarnia FC U12 Boys had a rare Sunday morning home game over the weekend. They would play the Tillsonburg Wrath in a re-scheduled league game from May.  The Sarnia FC Premier team would have 2 call-up players as they had a short bench due to injuries and vacations.  Goalie Williamson and defender Atkinson would make the trek to Germain fields to participate in the match.

Sarnia would start the game with great intensity and continuously press Tillsonburg deep in their end of play. Although they had many chances, the Sarnia boys could not solve the Wrath's keeper. Eventually their tenacity would pay-off as Sarnia Striker Michael Howe would open the scoring.  Soon after, Sarnia's Ryan Janssens would up the score by two as he popped one in from the top of the 6 yard box. Michael Howe would pick-up his second of the game as Sarnia would close out the half up 4 - 0.

The second half would be much more the same scenario as Sarnia would continue to dominate most of the play. Some great passing skills and ball control were evident from all sides of the pitch. The Sarnia defense would hold strong with some great defensive coverage by : Aex Newall, Christian D'Agostini, Cameron Hoek, Kyle Flamminio and Corbin Atkinson.

Janssens would notch his second of the game on a "Pirlo" style chip shot which found the back of the Tillsonburg net.  Shortly following, Michael Howe would fire in his 3 of the game completing the hat-trick on a beautiful left footed drive from 20 yards out.  Sarnia Striker, Mateo Troiani would up the lead by 6 as he converted his own chip shot which eluded a charging Wrath keeper. Finally, Alex Newall would pick-up his first goal of the season on a nicely executed pass and finish breakout. Goalie, Colton Williamson would notch the shutout on a relatively quiet morning. Sarnia FC would continue their unbeaten streak in LDYSL action winning 7 - 0 over Tillsonburg!

Sarnia's next action is Tuesday night vs. PCL Fury @ the Portuguese Club in London @ 8:30 pm under the lights!
