friday july 25, 2014

New Player, New Goalie Coach, Welcomes New Staff from Affiliate Mooretown Flags and tryout/Exhibition game schedules

To kick off the 2014 - 2015 season the Sarnia Legionnaires held a media conference at the RBC Centre where they made several announcement for the upcoming season.

The Sarnia Legionnaires welcomes Cameron Clarke to their 2014-15 lineup.  The 18 year old right shooting defenceman from Tecumseh Michigan stands 6' 1" and weighs in at 170 lb.  Cameron is a former player with the Midget AAA with Detroit Compuware and the West Michigan Hounds North American U18 Prospect league in Kalamazoo

Clarke describes himself as a very offensive player from the blueline who likes to get in the play. "I want to produce from he point this year and get some offence but also play good defensively and help the team."  Clarke said

The Legionnaires staff had targeted Cameron last season.  "He came in and had a great camp last year he was only 17 years old so when he stayed in the U18 he got a lot more ice down and ended up leading his team in points as a defenceman. (17G, 15A)." Head Coach Dan Rose said

"He really makes great first passes and he's good on the offensive blue line. We love his skill and we love his attitude.  He is going to bring a lot of offence to the back end for us."
