Jordan Croskery, Carl Best and Chad Zonneville are This Weeks Top Bowlers

Jordan Croskery, Carl Best and Chad Zonneville are the top bowlers in the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week.

Croskery won the B division Youth Bowlers Tour tournament held at Skyway Lanes in Hamilton this past weekend. The bowlers were playing on a difficult sport oil pattern called the 35 foot WTBA (World Tenpin Bowling Association) Beijing Pattern. Participating against 35 competitors in his division, he qualified 7th after 4 games. The top eight bowlers rolled a one match elimination game where Croskery eliminated the second seed bowler to qualify 4th. He then eliminated his three other competitors in the step ladder rounds with his 199 final game making him the champion after eight games. Ben Lapointe, another Sarnia youth bowler who won his division a couple weeks ago, finished 3rd in the tournament’s C division. 

Carl Best tossed 782 (267-279-236) on lanes 31 & 32 in the Thursday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the high triple this week.

Chad Zonneville fired twelve explosive strikes in a row in his first game to record his career 3rd perfect game. He was bowling in the Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl on lanes 31 & 32 and ended the night with 754 (244). It was the 3rd perfect game in LCTA action this season.

Topping off the scores from the Thursday Night Men’s League were Roy Mezzatesta 745 (245-254-246), Larry Plumb 675 (234-228), George Reid 661 (244), Bill Cole 641 (248), Jean Guy Morin 638 (223-253), Jean Lacroix Jr. 636 (222), Louie Willemsen 634, Mark Roehler 254, Bob Avery 245, Mel Matthews 232, Tony Spano 227 and Scott Salmons 223. Pat McMillan rolled 734 (242-236-256) in Marcin Border City Men’s League combat. He was pursued by Dan Chopp 706 (265-231), Dave LeClair 684 (236), Kevin Matthews 675 (247-245), Mel Kongus 669 (289 - 100 pins over average), Brian Peters 664 (234), Dan Vandermeer 663 (244), Drew Bestard 656 (267), Rob Vandermeer 643 (236), Dustin Churly 642, Jeff Vandervies 247 and Will Barnes 232. Roy Mezzatesta spared the 4-6-7-9-10 split and the 6-7-10 split. The ladies’ best scores were Tonie Verbeek 520 (182-183) and Denise Walker 474.

In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League action, the women’s top scores were Pam Marciniszyn 648 (223-226), Marsha Pinel 546 (197-190), Penny Geerts 509 (180), Sue Gibb 485, Carley Gibb 480 (181), Cynthia Vance 184 and Shirley Kelley 177. The men’s main scores were Steve Lewicki 593 (201), Joe Winger 561 (198), Jim Barber 520 (184) and Mel Matthews 204. In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League activity, the ladies’ were led by Jo Ellen Beveridge 602 (233), Cid Bearhart 564 (214-210), Shirley Oliver 513 (174-177), Julie Young 496 (194) and Kathy Watters 177. The gentlemen’s top scores were Roger Williams 593 (200-247), Greg Gray 562 (199), Bill Smith 205, Wilson Plain 200 and John Adams 199.

In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League action, leading scores were Cheryl Millar 521 (187-177), Steph Chambers 494 (210), Brenda Dennis 489, Deb Jones 479 (179), Michelle Fraser 475 (177), Lorene Oakes 465 and Joy Timington 178. Team standings are Aruba 42, Jamaica 42, Bahama Moma’s 41, Bora-Bora 36, Vegas Bound 34, Beach Bums 33, Bahli Girls 33 and Polmesian Skirts 24.

In the Hi-Way Youth Senior division, the ladies’ top scores were Lorren Cook 551 (209-178) and Cassandra Tremblay 409. The gents’ high bowler was Alex Pak with 444 (156).

In the Hi-Way Youth Intermediate division, the girls’ best scores were Kyra Lester 415 (158) and Taelor Koundakjian 321. The boys’ noted scores were Colton Smith 403 (150) and Aiden Coleman 361.

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior division, the girls’ main scores were Kaela Koundakjian 359 (129) and Isadora Tremblay 345 (140). On the boys’ side, top rollers were Tyler Hoadley 468 (169), Seth Hicks 454 (184) and Domenic Cocozzoli 454.

In the Hi-Way Youth Senior Preps division, the girls’ best rollers were Emily Harris 332 (131) and Katarena Vandeguchte 322 (109). The boys’ high bowlers were Cole Barber 451 (179) and Nic Peckham 374.  

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior Preps division, the girls’ noted scores were Amber Watson 308 (121) and Lyndsay Amerlinck 260 (97). The boys’ high shooters were Brodie McKinley 305 (112-109), Gavin Baillie 296 (111), William LaFramboise 278 and Joe Stinson 264 (112).

In the Hi-Way Youth Bantams division, the girls’ notable scores were Elsa McKinley 233 (92-79), Tyleigh Winger 214 (78), Laurianne Tremblay 209 (76) and Lily Stinson 154. The boys’ top wheelers were Bryce Watson 256 (96), Jake Coggins 230 (96), Alex Majeski 184 and Ben Boult 180 (92).
