Legionnaires Take Loss on Sunday but is Given Home Ice Advantage in Upcoming Playoffs

Despite taking a 5 - 3  loss on Sunday against the Chatham Maroons the Sarnia Legionnaires remains in fourth place to earn home ice advantage in the upcoming playoffs. 

Sarnia was just 1 point ahead of London before Sunday's games. London also played on Sunday but suffered a 6 - 4 loss against LaSalle that gave the Legionnaires the one point lead.

In Chatham, the Sarnia Legionnaires took a 1 - 0 lead after the first period. In the second Chatham took a 2 - 1 lead and in the third Chatham scored 3 goals, Sarnia scored 2. 

Scoring for Sarnia were Jay Clarke, Cody Trowell and Davis Boyer.  For Chatham Adam Arseneault scored three goals and singles by Trevor Richardson and Kyle Brothers.

Sarnia went zero for three on the power play, Chatham scored one on four opportunities.

Chatham outshot Sarnia 52 - 39.  Despite the loss Braden Palocz was outstanding making 37 saves in the game.  Jacob Keogh made 36 in the win.

Sarnia will now face London in the playoffs.  Schedule TBA
