Cote, McLellan, Elliott, Plamondon and McGrath are the Best in this week bowling report

           Steve Cote, Jackie McLellan, Roy Elliott, Rachel McGrath and Rob Plamondon (not pictured) are highlighted in the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week.           

           Cote rolled 752 (234-278- 90 pins over average – 240 – 188 pins over average for three games) in the Thursday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the week’s high triple.

        McLellan won the Super Senior Division at the 2014 Ontario Seniors Tenpin Bowling Tournament at Bowlero Bowl in Windsor on the last weekend of October. She now will have the opportunity to participate in the United States Seniors Bowling Tournament in August of 2015 at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay Wisconsin. She will be there to defend her title which she won this year in Reno Nevada.

        Elliott was also victorious In the Ontario Seniors Tenpin Bowling Tournament in the Men’s Super Senior Division for the second consecutive year and also has the opportunity to go to Green Bay Wisconsin.

         Plamondon recorded the week’s high single tossing the first eleven strikes in his second game on lanes 17 & 18 leaving the 4-9 split  on his last ball to end up with 298 -  114 pins over average. He was participating in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s league at Marcin Bowl ending the night with 689.

          McGrath tossed 675 (203-225-247) in the Triple A Mixed League at Marcin Bowl to record the ladies high triple.

         Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Four will be held on Tuesday January 6th at 6:30. Build up your courage to enter the tournament to challenge the difficult PBA oil pattern lane condition.

        Roy Mezzatesta fired 745 (265-234-246) in Marcin Border City Men’s League rivalry.        Topping off the ladies’ scores from the Marcin Triple A Mixed League were Michelle Drew Jones 570 (220 – 79 pins over average – 147 pins overage for three games), Sondra Callum 568 (216-193), Susan McGrath 542, Shelley Thompson 519 (190), Maggie Vandermeer 187 and Lynn Ayotte 182. The gentlemen’s upper scores were Rob Vandermeer 670 (252), Dave Jones 595, Hector Babin 572 (235), Jamie Stokes 563 (256 – 101 pins over average), Ken Nimmo 554 (256 – 76 pins over average), Bill Kolotylo 223 and John Cardwell 200.         In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League fun, top scores were Adwina Whitsitt 475 (172), Kathy Donahue 443, Esther Waybrant 439, Shani Knight 187 and Diane Ross 170. Team standings are “Hot” Dog 95, Lamb Chops 86, Donkey Kong’s 83, Cow Patti’s 74, Ditch Pig 72 and Rocking Horse 70.

        In Marcin National Farmers Union Mixed League play, the ladies’ main scores were Randy Raaymakers 483 (170) and Carol Slaughter 473 (183). Joe Simmons was the best gentleman on the lanes with 518 (191-188). 

        In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League action, upper scores were Joy Timington 548 (210-184), Brenda Dennis 492 (188), Sandra Paluch 492 (197), Cheryl Millar 471, Diane Reid 178, Jeri-Lynn Charron 172 and Mary Grimes-Henry 160. Team standings are Strikers 40, Banana Splitz 37, Alley-Oops 36, Pairs & Spares 29, We’ve Been Framed 27 and Head Pins 24.

        In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League activity, the women`s noted scores were Barb Montgomery 493 (199), Denise Thomas 481 (182), Sue Sorensen 481 (191), Bonnie VanGrimberghe 479 (198), Annette Urban 477 (183), Amanda VanGrimberghe 192 and Sue Glassford 190. The men were led by Dave Urban 575 (210), Jason Armitage 568 (216), Marcel Lajoie 564 (214), Dave Little 514 (229), Paul Heckley 201 and Ray Lucas 200.          In the Marcin SMAA Intermediate-Senior division, the ladies` top scores were Mikayla Durley 393 (148) and Ashley Toulouse 389 (141). The gents` upper scores were Quincy VanEkeren 602 (232), Brian Riberdy 571 (202), Joshua Trott 553 (210), Matt Disper 471 (211), Branden Riberdy 439 (167) and Craig Machan 423 (151).

        In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls` best scores were Morgan Pelkie 562 (234 – 64 pins over average), Hollie-Anne Jean 379 (145), Jordan Eaton 359 (129) and Abbey Yates-Strangway 330 (143). The boys` main rollers were Ethan Boucher 441 (177), Jacob Bestard 437 (165) and Maximillian Michelucci 430 (176).

        In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, Emily Power was tops for the girls with 276 (108). The boys` notable scores were Kole Parkkila 409 (150), Noah Gauthier 357 (146), Cam Parkkila 338 and Ryan Pinel 331 (136).

        In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, leading scores were Cecelia Rochon 224 (88), Mya Hanley 192 (70), Brody Manley 184 (64-64), Taylor Button 144 (60) and Koby Brace 143 (55).
