Lambton AAA Minor Atoms Played a Pair of Solid Games

The Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Atoms
saw action on the weekend with
their first game on Saturday on
the road against Huron Perth
that ended in a 2 - 2 tie.
Jaxon Priddle and Bo Doxtator
scored for the Jr. Sting with
help from Aaron Shanks and Adam
Maitland. Caiden Smit was
in net holding off the attack.
“Solid game
today," Head Coach Corey Pageau
said. "We had a few calls go the
other way but the team
persevered and got a point on
the road against a good Huron
Perth Team.”
Hardest
worker was awarded to Adam
Osler, Caiden Smit and Ryan
Vidler
On Sunday the
team was at home where they took
a solid 4 - 0 win over Chatham
Kent. Aaron Shanks led the
Jr. Sting with 2 goals and
singles by Nolan Mumford and
Cameron McCarthy. Adam
Osler earned 2 points in the
game assisting on goals along
with Garrett Pearce, Lucas
Gaspari and Adam Maitland each
earning 1 point on assists.
In net
earning the shut out win was
Carter LaRocque.
"We had a
good fore-check; solid defensive
play and La Rocque shut the door
with a nice Shut out .” Pageau
said
Hardest
workers awarded in this game
were Bo Doxtator, Carter
LaRocque and Aaron Shanks.
“That was a
big win for the team today,"
Pageau said "We are trying to
separate ourselves from the
bottom as we drive for one of
the 4 playoff spots in the
West.
Next up the
team will see tournament action
at the Richard Bell Tournament
in Oakville beginning on
December 27.
