The Sarnia Legionnaires lost 7-4
in Leamington Sunday to drop
their won-lost record to 22-10
heading into the Christmas
break.
On the bright side, #8 Ryan
Vendramin scored two goals and
an assist for the Legionnaires.
That gives him an impressive 25
points in just 21 games.
Tyler Longo scored his third of
the campaign and defenceman
Kyler Keating notched his 11th,
tops among league rearguards.
Davis Boyer picked up an assist,
leaving him in first place in
conference scoring with 55
points.
Other helpers were credited to
Jake O'Donnell, P. J.
Vandervaart and Longo.
Cornel Felder took the loss in
net, despite making 46 saves.
Sarnia had 29 shots on the
Flyers cage.
Mooretown Flag's netminder
Riley Collins was Sarnia's
backup goalie. He was called up
after No. 1 netminder Hunter
Johnson was injured the night
before in Forest.
The Legionnaires enter the
holidays in second place.
However, their loss Sunday all
but eliminated them from
contention for first. In fact,
they now trail the front-running
Flyers by 11 points.
