Lambton Major Midget AAA Defeat Brantford 99ers

Lambton Major Midget played one game on the weekend hosting Brantford and defeating the 99ers with a 4 - 1 final.

Marco Mini scored the first and only goal in the first period on a power play with Alec DeKoning assisting.

Lambton then took a 3 - 0 lead after two periods of play on goals scored by Dillon Saunders from Christian Lyle and Tim Kaledway and the second by Brock Perry with Sean Ginnell and Ryan Greenaway assisting.

Third period saw Brantford score their only goal just over a minute into the period by Owen Sullivan. Action continued and late in the period Brock Perry scored his second of the day and his 15th of the season to finish the game. Jarret Marks and Sean Ginnell helped set up the play.

Lambton outshot Brantford 32 - 17. Shayne Battler earned his 8th win in net for the Jr. Sting made 16 saves. Andrew Albano made 28 saves in net for Brantford.

Lambton is in third spot in the standings race with a record of 15-4-1-0.

The Jr. Sting are back in action next weekedn with two games before the Christmas break with the first in Waterloo (7-15-0-1) on Saturday then back at home on Sunday at 4:00 pm against Kitchener (13-7-1-2) at the RBC Centre.
