The Sarnia Lady Sting Midget
A team hosted the London
Devilettes on Friday night
at Clearwater Arena. The
Lady Sting has previously
beaten the Devilettes in the
first two matches this year,
but was not up to the task
on this night.

The Lady
Sting would take an early
penalty, which cost them
with a London power play
goal. The Lady Sting would
give up another London Power
Play goal in the 2nd
period to go down 2-0. The
Lady Sting could not find
their legs or the back of
the net on this night, and
gave up a late 3rd
period goal to lose the game
3-0.

On Saturday at the
Clearwater Arena the Lady
Sting played the Kitchener
Rangers for the first time
this year. The Lady Sting
came out strong in the first
period of the game, and had
several scoring
opportunities but was unable
to beat the Kitchener
goalie. The Lady Sting would
open the scoring in the 2nd
period, on a goal by Suzanne
Lockhart, assisted by
Teighan MacNeill and
Samantha Villanueva.

The Lady
Sting would hold a 1-0 lead
into the final minute of the
game when Kitchener would
pull their goalie, and score
with the extra attacker with
29 seconds remaining. The
Lady Sting would have to
settle for the 1-1 tie on
this night.

In the final game of the
weekend the Sarnia Lady
Sting played the Woodstock
Wildcats for the 3rd time
this year, on Sunday night
at the RBC previously
splitting the first two
games. The 1st period was
scoreless, as both goalies
were determined not to give
up the 1st goal. In the 2nd
period Teighan MacNeill
would open the scoring on a
nice shot, assisted by
Suzanne Lockhart.

The Lady Sting would take
the 1-0 lead into the 3rd
period, and were determined
not to have a repeat of the
Kitchener game. Tabetha
Duquette would score twice
in the 3rd period to secure
the 3-0 win for the lady
Sting. Assisting on the two
Duquette goals were Marissa
Johnson (2), and Abigail
Whitely. Brooke Kirkland had
a solid night in net getting
the shutout.
