The Corunna Giants finished in five innings in Dresden last night after taking a 17 - 3 win in Western counties Midget Baseball league action.

Corunna took a 7 - 2 lead after the first inning then added 5 more in the second and third innings.  Dresden's final run came in the third.

The Giants had a total of 12 hits, 2 errors. Nolan Nicholson and Derek Williams each had three hits.  Nicholson batted in four RBI's and  Jordan Pavey had two hits and knocked in four runs.  Single hits by Brett Farr, Devin Butler, Jake Rompf and Colton Osborne.

Jordan Pavey pitched two innings allowing zero runs, zero hits and striking out three.  Derek Williams earned the win allowing three hits, three runs and striking out two.

The Giants are back in action for their first post season game in the Sun Parlour League on the road against Walker Home Sites on Friday August 8.
