Sarnia Spirit U16's Win WOYSL League

The Sarnia Spirit U16's needed to win or tie their last league game to become League Champions in the West Region Soccer League.

Last night, they accomplished their goal with a 2-0 victory over the London Dragons FC. Katie Barwitzki and Claire Vandeneynde scored goals to lead the Spirit to victory. Cassidy Edlington with the shutout.

The team won the league with a record of 10 wins, 3 ties, and 1 loss and scored 42 goals and allowed only 10 goals. The Spirit now have the opportunity to be promoted to the top league (L1 Ontario Youth Soccer League) in Ontario for 2015.
 
This weekend, the Spirit finish off their outdoor season with a tournament in Rochester Hills, Michigan called the Michigan Soccer Classic.
