Corunna Giants went 1 - 1 on Saturday in OBA Midget Tournament - Action continues Sunday

The Corunna
Giants are 1 - 1 heading into
day 3 of the Ontario Baseball
Association Midget C Baseball
Tournament.
After receiving a
bye in the first round the
Giants met the Innisfil
Cardinals in their first game
and defeated the Cardinals in
six innings with a final score
of 11 - 0.

Innisfil struggle
in the field as they tallied ten
errors, the Giants had none.
The Giants opened
the first inning scoring two
runs, one in the third, two in
the fifth and created havoc in
the sixth scoring six runs.
The Giants had seven hits in the
game, Innisfil had five.

Jeremy Devereaux
went the distance on the mound
earning the win for the Giants
allowing the five hits, zero
runs and striking out four.
In the second
game of the day the tables were
turned and the Giants suffered a
12 - 0 loss against the Essex
Majors.
The Giants bats
were quiet as they had zero
hits, Essex had eight and the
Giants had five errors, Essex
had two.

Jordan Pavey pitched for three
innings for the Giants allowing
two hits, one walk and four runs
and striking out two. Joe
Stock recorded the loss after
pitching two innings allowing
six hits, eight runs and
striking out two.
The Giants are
back in action Sunday in the
double knock out format.
It's a must win situation as
they take on Woodstock at 10:00
am at Courtright Park.
