Lambton County TenPin Association Closes Books on Last Season as New Season about to Begin

LCTA Board member presents Scholarship Award to Jason Croskery
The Lambton
County TenPin Association (LCTA)
held their annual general
meeting on Thursday at Marcin
Bowl in Point Edward with many
League Representatives, Board
Members and guests in
attendance.
The LCTA is the governing body
of 28 sanctioned leagues (youth
and adult) in Lambton Count and
are members of the Provincial
and National TenPin Federations.
The LCTA Association held three
tournaments last season.
In November 2013, 51 teams
participated in the Youth
Doubles Championship and in
February 2014, 34 Men's
Doubles teams competed and 18
Women's teams.
Several Awards were announce
with the first award being
presented to Youth bowler Jordan
Croskery. The former St.
Patrick's student is a 12 year
veteran of the sport and last
year played in four leagues
received the LCTA Scholarship
award in the amount of $500.00.
The Scholarship is presented
each year to a youth bowler
entering post secondary
education. Croskery is attending
Lambton College and is enrolled
in the CPET program.
Croskery also was presented with
the LCTA Lifetime Award for his
high scores over 800. Croskery
scored over 800 twice with a
score of 826 on April 14, 2014
and 808 April 16, 2014.
Croskery says he is a lifetime
bowler. "I love it, just love
it. I'm super competitive
and I like to beat everyone, or
try to, it's tough in the men's
leagues as they are all very
good bowlers."
Other LCTA Award winners
announced (not present) went to
Rick Dennis and Corey Willemsen
who each rolled perfect games of
300.

scores and 800 triples include:
300 Games: Dan Chopp, Jordan
Croskery, Rick Dennis, Roy
Mezzatesta (2 perfect
games), Terry Mundy, George
Reid, Corey Willemsen and
Chad Zonneville
800 Series: Jordan Croskery
(2- 800 series), Larry
Plumb, Dennis Ramsay
The 2014 - 2015 league bowling
begins September 3. Anyone
