Sky Fire (Blue) vs Vortex (Red)

In the first PeeWee semi the Rob Simrak Magic Realty Sky Fire tried to earn their ticket to the championship with an encounter against the pesky Optimist Club of Sarnia Lakeshore Vortex.  The Vortex stunned the Sky Fire early as Jonah Wilson sprinted 83 yards across the goal line on the first play from scrimmage.

The Sky Fire did not panic and regained control of the game on touchdown runs of 3 and 65 yards by Isaac Kidd as well as a 45 yard gallop by Avery Smiley.  Smiley's convert on Kidd's first score staked the Sky Fire to a 20-6 halftime advantage.  The Vortex did not quit as Colton Shepherd drove in from 1 yard away in the second half.  Additional majors by Kidd and Joe Rose, along with 2 more successful Smiley converts resulted in a 34-12 Sky Fire victory.

Storm (Black) vs Avengers (Green)

The second PeeWee semi featured a battle between 2 very evenly matched teams, The Cupe Local 1238 Avengers and the Purdy Fisheries Storm.  The Storm struck first as Ethan Kerby ran to the end zone from 34 yards and Brody Phillips added the convert.  In the last minute of the half, quarterback Jackson Grasse broke the plane on a 1 yard quarterback sneak.  The Storm led at the half 8-6.

They increased their lead to 14-6 in the third quarter when powerful Josh Gibson rumbled to the house from 2 yards out.  With only 3 minutes remaining Grasse again reached the end zone on a 6 yard run.  Zachary Tremblay's convert knotted the game at 14.  No further scoring took place, taking the game to a breathtakingly exciting shootout.  The Storm had the ball first and counted a major on a 4 yard dash by Kerby and a convert by Phillips.  The Avengers scored on their first possession as well, behind Grasse's third touchdown of the game.  The Storm managed to block the resulting conversion attempt for a 22-20 victory.
