The Petrolia Squires suffered a 2 - 0 shutout loss at home Friday night against the Clinton Raiders in WOAA Senior AA hockey league action.
After a scoreless first period Clinton added singles in the second and third. Justin Knee scored the first goal with Ryan Watterworth picking up the assist. Midway into the third the Raiders second goal was scored by Tyler VanDrunen unassisted.
Chris Houle took the loss in net for the Squires making 28 saves in the game. Tommy Lee turned away 40 for the Raiders.
The Squires are now 5-6-0-2 for the season and are in 5th spot in the standings race.
Next home game is Sat., Dec 7 at 7:30pm at Greenwood Re Centre against 4th place Tavistock Royals (8-4-0-0).
This game will also be the Squires annual Turkey night.
