
The Sarnia Sting Major Novice T1 had a win and a loss over the weekend. The Sting lost 4 - 2 to the London Bandits in a game they could have won. Sarnia outshoot the Bandits, but trailed 1 – 0 until the three minute marker in the third. With two quick goals from Tanner Winegard and the Sting took a 2 – 1 lead with just over 2 minutes to go. The Sting imploded and allowed two goals and an empty net goal to lose. Assists went to Ryan Pageau, Adam Osler and Logan O’Leary-Dilosa. Hardest workers of the game went to Ryan Pageau, Adam Maitland and Ryan Vidler.


The Sting bounced back on Sunday with a 3 – 2 win over Stratford. The Sting played a strong game jumping out to a 3 – 0 lead with many missed opportunities and a couple of posts along the way. Sarnia opened the door giving up a couple of goals in the last two minutes but hung on for a hard fought win. Scoring for Sarnia were; Garrett Pearce, Wil Vandenboom and Quinn James. Assists went to Ryan Pageau and Isaac Oliphant. Hardest workers of the game went to Quinn James, Wil Vandenboom and winning goalie Caiden Smit.


Sarnia is back in action on Saturday, November 16th vs. the North London Nationals at Clearwater Arena.
