Youth Bowlers Shine on the Lanes

Three youth bowlers, Tyler Hoadley (pictured), Morgan Pelkie and Nic Peckham performed honourably this past week in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action at Marcin Bowl and Hi-Way Bowl.

Fourteen old Hoadley recorded 556 (212-204 - Tyler’s first two lifetime 200 games) in the Hi-Way Youth Junior division. The boys’ additional scores were Ben Lapointe 494 (222), Dalton Crowe 467 and Mitchel Blake 170. The girls’ top shooters were Isadora Tremblay 409 (164), Kaela Koundakjian 341, and Shayla Crouse 313 (128).

Pelkie rolled 566 (an admirable 259 - 98 pins over average) in the Marcin SMAA Youth Junior division. The girls’ other top scores were Mikayla Durley 453 (187) and Gillian Webb 384 (141). The boys’ high scores were Joshua Trott 539 (216), Aiden Osbourne 416 (154), Lucas Pawley 356 (141), Maximillian Michelucci 352 (141) and Manny Ramos 134.

Peckham hurled 479 (221 - 96 pins over average) in the Hi-Way Youth Senior Preps division. On the girls’ side, high scores were Emily Harris 341 (125) and Katarena Vandeguchte 311 (118).

Terry Mundy was the high bowler on the lanes this past week as he tossed 752 (245-279-228) in the Wednesday Night Mixed League at Marcin Bowl.  

Dan Chopp fired 740 (246-290) in Marcin Border City Men’s League rivalry.  He was followed by Brandon Gauthier 738 (257-236-245), Jordan Croskery 707 (278), Drew Bestard 675 (237-245), Roy Mezzatesta 671, Rob Vandermeer 652 (236), Dan Vandermeer 637 (233), Kevin Matthews 234, Rod Honke 233 and Bill Cole 230. Bill Cole wheeled 715 (248-231-236) in Marcin Thursday Night Men’s League commotion.  Topping off the men’s scores in the Marcin Wednesday Night Mixed League were Bob McQueen 637 (244), Andre Dion 608 (245), Gord Bayly 607 (224), Sandy Paine 213, Brian Moore 213 and Paul Kleinsmith 202. The ladies’ top scores were Diane Fletcher 491 (202), Michelle Somers 454 (172), Cynthia Carroll 439 and Sue Bayly 172. In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League fun, top scores from a makeup week were Lee Classen 486 (184), Ada Brown 453 (167), Bev Rankin 451, Pat Morrow 448 (183) and Barb Plant 167. This week’s high scores were Barb Plant 466 (185), Dawn Irwin 452 (173), Carrie Wood 437, Pat Morrow 436 (166) and Kate Miller 167.

In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League action, the women’s best scores were Bev Rankin 476 (170), Michelle Fraser 461 (185) and Pam Bullock 444 (169). The men’s upper scores were Terry Bradburn 529 (192), Wayne Rankin 522 (198) and Ken McLeod 522 (190). In Marcin National Farmers Union Mixed League fun, the women’s notable scores were Randy Raaymakers 511 (177-178), Carol Slaughter 489 (218), Ashley Jones 394 and Diane Crawford 394. On the men’s side, high scores were Mike Hawryluk 577 (194), John Daamen 489 (172) and Lorne Johnson 172. In the Marcin Youth SMAA Senior/Intermediate division, the ladies’ top scores were Rachel McGrath 531 (192), Kira Pelkie 520 (190) and Nicole Emery 373 (137). The gents’ main scores were Jordan Croskery 605 (235), Colin Hanley 536 (190-212), Matt Disper 450 (180) and Brian Riberdy 167.

In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girls’ best scores were Hollie-Anne Jean 386 (148), Caprice Hill 342 (135), Abbey Yates-Strang 284 (103) and Paige Jean 111. The boys’ high rollers were Ethan Boucher 457 (157-157), Jacob Bestard 381 (156) and Patrick Cullis 368 (166).

In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, noted scores were Jordan Button 312 (126), Braeden Scott 251 (90), Noah Gauthier 211 (79), Mya Hanley 169 (64) and Noah Leclair 153 (59).

In the Marcin SMAA Bumpers division, main bumpers were Brody Manley 160 (89), Taylor Button 137 (75), Cameron Winter 124 (63) and Olivia Quaid 116 (63).  

In the Hi-Way Youth Senior division, Cassandra Tremblay took care of the high scores with 424 (171). The boys’ top bowlers were Connor Smith 456 (163) and Alex Pak 444 (188).

In the Hi-Way Youth Intermediate division, the girl’s top bowler was Taelor Koundakjian with 385 (152). The boys’ noted bowlers were Colton Smith 456 (158-154), Aiden Coleman 373 (148) and Robbie Graham 304.

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior Preps division, the girls’ upper scores were Amber Watson 321 (141), Jordann Eaton 239 (94), Lyndsay Amerlinck 191 and Marissa Eaton 179. The boys’ best scores were Brodie McKinley 355 (121-119), Gavin Baillie 309 (120), Riley Wagner-Gosselin 278 and Chad Crouse 251.

In the Hi-Way Youth Bantams division, the girls’ notable scores were Elsa McKinley 226 (93), Laurianne Tremblay 211 (87) and Tyleigh Winger 141. The boys’ high hurlers were Bryce Watson 263 (107), Alex Majeski 244 (106), Ben Boult 198 and Jake Coggins 146.
