Toronto, Ont; The Sarnia Imperials dropped their season opener 25-14 on Saturday to the Toronto Raiders. Although the Imperials allowed 25 points, 2 came from a safety on a bad snap from a punt attempt and another was from a Raider rouge.

The Raiders were given numerous chances deep into Imperials territory on 3 fumbles and on 2 interceptions.

Scoring for the Imperials were Ryan Lounsbury and Ricky Gorton.

Next up the Imperials will travel to Sudbury on June 1.
