Vision Hockey 2002 Tournament Highlights at Bluewater Sharks Tournament

The Vision Hockey 2002 struggled at the Bluewater Sharks Tournament held in Sarnia over the weekend going 0 - 4 in tournament play.
 

In game one on Saturday Vision was shut out by the Warriors 4 - 0. 

 

In game two on the same day Vision opened the scoring in the first period against Hockey TA with Darby Lemieux scoring. 

 

Hockey TA went on and scored 2 goals in the first to take a 2 - 1 lead heading into the second period.  In the second Jackson Cole scored for Vision to tie things up but three minutes later Hockey TA regained the lead by a single goal heading into the third. 

 

Early in the third Hockey TA widened their lead but Vision battled back and came within one on a goal scored by Zachary Teal. 

 

As the game was closing in Vision pulled their goalie for the extra man advantage, but Hockey TA found the opening and scored their final goal into the empty net.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In game three they went up against a strong Victory Honda Select team and took a 8 - 3 loss.  The Selects took a 3 goal lead after the first period and dominated in the second by adding 5 goals.  Vision scored two of the goals in the second and added a single in the third.  Jimmy Simpson scored two goals in the game and Tate Bowden added the single.

 

 

In their final game of the tournament they took a 5 - 2 loss against the eventual tournament champions Powertech.  Powertech took a 2 - 0 lead in the first period and added a single early in the second.  Vision battled back and scored two goals to narrow Powertech's lead to 3 - 2 as they headed into the third.  Third period saw Powertech remain in the lead as they went on and scored 2 unanswered goals.  Scoring for Vision Hockey were Tate Bowden and Zachary Teal.

 

Jessie McPherson and Luke Crombeen shared the goaltending duties throughout the tournament with both making many keys saves.
