Lambton Shores Predators Eliminated in Game Six

The Maroons defeated the Predators 6 - 4 Saturday night at the Shores Recreation Centre. It took six games for the first place Chatham Maroons to clinch the first playoff round four games to two in the Greater Ontario Jr B Western Conference. 

In the final game the two sides were tied 4 - 4 heading into the third period.  The two teams remained even until late in the period at 17:55 Chatham scored to take the lead.  In the final minute the Predators pulled their goalie for the extra man but the Maroon's finished the game scoring into the empty net to secure the win. 

Matteo Ciccarelli led the Predators with two goals in the game and singles by Kyle Brothers and Adam Arseneault.

Sean Myers scored the game winner for the Maroons.  Michael Verboom scored the empty netter and two other goals for a hat trick and Trevor Richardson scored a pair.

Chatham outshot the Predators 31 - 30.  Darien Ekblad tood the win with 26 saves, Brandon Campbell took the loss with 25 saves.

Chatham scored two goals on four power play opportunities.  Lambton went one for three.

"I am so proud of these guys", said Roop Chanderdat, President and GM. "They never quit and left it all on the ice". "It's always sad to see the end of a season but extremely difficult for the 20 year old players and we had two good ones in Brandon Campbell and Ryan Rotondi."
