Sarnia Imperials Announce Signing of Two Players to 2013 Roster

The Sarnia Imperials are pleased to announce the signing of Pascal Plante and Daniel White from Montreal Quebec to their 2013 roster.


Pascal Plante:

Age: 22
Height: 6'5"  
Weight: 205 LBS
Position: QB  

Plante played minor football in Valleyfield QC where at 16 and 17 yrs old he won the Gold Bowl . Best Team in Quebec and MVP of the Championship 2 out of 5 years played in JR football. Pasqual was named QB MVP in 4 of the his 5 yrs.

Daniel White:
Age: 20
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 218 lbs
Position: LB

White played his minor football in Chatham and London playing for three championship titles while there. Daniel then moved to Quebec where he played midget football and they made it to the finals in his first year, he captured MVP defensive player of the game He played 3 yrs JR football winning top Linebacker award for 2 of the 3 years.

Both players have committed and will be attending the Imperials indoor try-outs on March 24th.  Due to prior commitments they will miss the March 9th try-out. Both try-outs are from 2-4pm sharp at River City Vineyard.

League News
In January the Northern Football Conference approved the addition of two new teams in the league. The Durham Hawkeyes and Montreal Transit were formally accepted for play in 2013. With the addition of the two teams the number of teams playing in the league increases to nine.  With the addition two divisions East and West have been created and play will be within the divisions with some cross over games as well.  Along with the new additions the league also includes, North Bay Bulldogs, Oakville Longhorns, Ottawa Invaders, Sault Ste. Marie Steelers, Sudbury Spartans, Torotno Raiders, Toronto Titans, Tri City Outlaws and the Sarnia Imperials.

The schedule will be finalized in April.
