Predators Downed by Chatham in Game One
 Friday march 1, 2013


8th place Lambton Shores lost to the Western Ontario Conference leaders Chatham Maroons with a final score of 6 - 3 in their first game of Greater Ontario Jr B playoffs.

 

Chatham took a 3 - 1 lead after the first period.  The Maroons added one in the second.  The Predators narrowed the gap in the second scoring two goals, but the Maroons went on and scored two more in the third to take the win.

 

Trevor Richards led the Maroons scoring two goals in the game. Other goals scorers included Blake Blondeel, Brennan Feasey, Brayden Hopkins and Braden Morris.  For the Predators Matt Ross scored the first goal unassisted.  Cale Duberry scored the second goal assisted by Sam Jasmin and Adam Arseneault added the third goal with Nick Sproveiro assisting.

 

 

Chatham outshot the Predators 55 - 30.  Both sides went scoreless on three power play opportunities.

 

Brandon Campbell got the start and went 16:14 minutes after three goals on sixteen shots.  Justin Tugwell replaced Campbell allowing three goals on 39 shots.

 

Darien Ekblad earned the win with twenty seven saves.

 

The two teams are back in action for game two on Saturday March 2 when the Predators will host the Maroons in Lambton Shores at 7:30 pm.
