Saturday The Petrolia Squires kept the series alive after winning game four by a score of 5 - 4 over Tavistock in WOAA AA Senior Hockey playoff semi finals.
The Squires took a 2 - 1 lead in the first period and in the second both sides were even with 4 goals each after the Squires gave up three power play goals in the second. With just 2:00 minutes remaining in the game Tyler Haddin scored the game winner and the Squires held on to take the win.
Haddin also scored the fourth goal and Scott McPhail, Mitch Zavitz and Jesse Dryadak added singles in the win.. Zavitz earned 3 points with a goal and 2 assists. Rob Vanwagsberge also had a three point night with 3 assists.
Cody Hall scored 2 goals for Tavistock and Wes Kropf and Reuben Smith scored singles.
Chris Houle was outstanding in net with a total of 41 saves in the win. Evan Groenestege took the loss with 25 saves.
The Squires now trail 3 games to 1 in the best of seven series and they are in a must win situation. The two teams are back in action on Wednesday March 6 in Tavistock for an 8:00 pm puck drop.
