Sarnia Braves Held on for the Win over Maple City Brewers

The Sarnia Braves traveled to Chatham Friday night and edged out the Maple City Brewers in Western County Baseball League action by a score of 4 - 3.

 

Sarnia scored all four runs in the first inning and held on to the lead after the Brewers banged in three runs in the third.

 

Matt Liberty pitched for three innings after striking out five, allowing five hits, three runs and walking two. Alex McLean came in for two innings with no runs scored, striking out three allowing one hit and two walks.  Justin Stephenson and McKenzie Maxwell each went in for one inning.

 

Sarnia had seven hits and no errors in the game.  Batting for the Braves were Dom Bucci with a double and singles by Mike Damchuck, Keegan Brandon, Mitch Bigras, Tyler Young and Greg kemble.

 

The Braves are back in action on Sunday June 23 when they host the Windsor Selects for a double header beginning at 1:00 pm at Errol Russell Park.
