Sarnia Braves Dropped a Pair in Doubleheader Against Windsor

In Can Am Senior Men's league action the Sarnia Braves hosted the Windsor Stars in a double header on Sunday and dropped both games.
 

In game one Sarnia took the lead at the bottom of the first inning.  The Stars answered back in the third for the tie.  Sarnia again took the lead in the fourth, from that point on it was all Stars as they added a single in the fifth for the tie and went on and scored two runs in the six and added a single in the seventh to take the win with a final score of 5 - 2.

Sarnia had seven hits and two errors.  Windsor hit six and two errors. Starting pitcher Wade Babula went 5 2/3 innings allowing four runs,  striking out two allowing four hits and three walks.  Anthony Shepherd finished the game allowing one run with two hits and two walks.

 

At bat, Dom Bucci and McKenzie Maxwell each hit two singles and Nick Baljeau, James Grant and Jeff Randall each hit one single.

 

The Stars won the second game of the day with a final score of  3-1.   Matt Liberty went six innings striking out two, allowing three runs, four hits and three walks.  McKenzie Maxwell came in and closed off the game in the seventh.

 

The Braves are back in action on Wednesday June 12 when they travel to Lacasse Park in Tecumseh to take on the Tecumseh Srs.
