St. Christopher AA Soccer
Boys Win Bronze
On Saturday the St. Christopher Boys returned to Stratford for their final day at OFSSA. The first game of the day was the Semi final game against St. Martin where they were edged out with a final score of 1 - 0. With the loss the Cyclones moved on to the Bronze medal game where they took the win with a final score of 3 - 1 over Vaughan Road to win the Bronze Medal. Richael O'Neill, Blake Medieros and Nicolas Sproviero each score in the Bronze Medal Game.
St. Martin won the OFSSA Senior Boys AA Division Championship by defeating Port Hope by a score of 1 - 0.
Girls Defeated in Bronze Medal Game
The St. Christopher Ladies return to Tecumseh on Saturday to face É. S. L'Essor for the semi final game. It was a close contest as both sides were even with one goal each after regulation time. Maria Mitchell scored the single regulation time goal for the Cyclones.
A game winner wasn't decided in overtime therefore it went to a penalty kick shoot out where St. Christopher came up short giving É. S. L'Essor the win. St. Christopher moved on to face Bishop Macdonell in the Bronze Medal game.
In the Bronze medal game the Ladies were defeated by a score of 2 - 1 against Bishop Macdonell. Nicole Moniz scored the lone for the Cyclones.
É. S. L'Essor earned the Gold medal defeating St. Martin 2 - 1 in the Girls AA Division.
