This past weekend, the Sarnia Spirit U-10 Girls Soccer Team went undefeated in the Middlesex United Invitational Soccer Tournament.
The Spirit Girls scored sixteen goals and zero goals against in the tournament. In the preliminary round the Spirit defeated Norwest Green 7 - 0 and Lambeth FC with a final score of 4 - 0. The two wins gave them a bye in the playoff round and the team went on to the semi finals where they earned a spot in the championship game after defeating St. Thomas Lightning 4 - 0. In the final game they met the host team the Middlesex United Storm and won their final shutout in a close 1 - 0 win.
