The 2013 Germain 6 vs. 6 Soccer Tournament Featured 7 Teams.
In Round Robin play each team would pick up at least 1 point. With the top four seed advancing the 3 seeds already knowing there fait before there last match it would come down to a match between Dortmund and Storm Runners for the final spot in the playoff section of the tournament. Dortmund needing a win or tie to advance, while Storm Runners knew only a win would get them through as Dortmund had a better goal difference. Storm Runners would strike first and they kept the 1-0 lead till halftime. In the 2nd half Dortmund would get two quick goals within the first 2 minutes of the 2nd half. Chances were missed by both teams but no team found that back of the net from there on out, and the final whistle blew with Dortmund squeaking out a 2-1 win.
After Round Robin Play the top 4 teams qualified for the playoff section of the tournament. The Red Eye Bandits finished 1st with 12 points, followed by All The Kings Men with 10 points, 3rd was Dragon FC with 7 points and squeaking in the 4th spot was Dortmund with 6 points.
In the Semi Finals it was the 1st Seed Red Eye Bandits who won by at least 4 goals in all of their four Round Robin Games vs. 4th seed Dortmund who finished two wins and two losses. The Red Eye bandits came out strong and scored 2 quick goals and then add 3 more later in the half while Dortmund added a late marker in the final minute of the half. With the Game out of reach midway through the 2nd half Dortmund came Storming back with 3 quick goals, but ran out of time with the score finishing 5-4 in favor of the Red Eye Bandits.
In the Other Semi Final Match it was 2nd seed All The Kings Men facing 3rd seed Dragon FC, who just had a game with them in round robin play with the score 2-2, setting the stage for an interesting matchup. It was Dragon FC Jumping out to a 5-3 Lead, but late in the 2nd half All the Kings Men scored two quick goals before the end of regulation, sending the game into extra time in which two 5 minute half’s were to be played. In the 3rd minute of the first extra time half Dragon FC scored a goal to take the lead, late in the match All The Kings Men were pressing to get the equalizer but came up short as Dragon FC won 6-5 advancing to the finals to face the Red Eye Bandits.

In the Finals Dragon FC were set to get revenge on the Red Eye Bandits, who beat them 4-0 in round robin play. However yet again it would be the Red Eye Bandits jumping out to a quick lead and never really looked back taking a 5-0 early in the 2nd half, Dragon FC would score two late markers but time expired final score was 5-2 in favor of the Bandits.

This Year the tournament saw over 70 players compete and the tournament organizer is hoping to expand from 7 teams to 8-10 teams next year. Good Sportsmanship was shown by all teams, and a big thanks to all the volunteers that helped out this year.
