The Sarnia FC U9 Red team had an outstanding performance at the Water's Edge Classic Festival Tournament.  The team tied all three games

with final scores of 1 - 1 in each of the games against the Lambeth Lancers, Belle River and Byron.

 

 

In the final game against Byron Sarnia took an early lead on a goal by Adam Elsolh.  Late in the second half a goal kick from Byron's end went over the heads of the Sarnia defenders and Byron capitalized on that opportunity and went in and shot high to even the score at 1 - 1.

 

 

The U9 Red needed a win to get through to the next round.

 

"We played excellent." Head Coach Brenda Farrell said. "We played consistent throughout the whole tournament.  We were in the hardest pool so I'm really proud of them."
