Predators Fall to London in Second Period

At home on Sunday night, the Lambton Shores Predators had a 3 - 1 lead heading into the second period but came up short in the second and took a 5 - 4 loss against the London Nationals in Greater Ontario Hockey league action.

Cleo Gubbles, Kyle Brothers and Brett Thompson each scored for the Predators in the first.  Matt Fuller scored the lone goal for London.  In the second period London opened the scoring on a power play at 3:28 then tied things up at 4:11.  Sean Consitt scored the power play goal and Jonathan Sims added the second.  Predators Ryan Rotondi scored for the Predators to regain the lead at 7:08.  London answered back at 10:12 to tie the game once again with Aaron Dartch scoring.  The final goal of the period that turned out to be the final of the game was scored by London on a power play by Ryan Tuffin.

Shots on net was close with London outshooting Lambton Shores 26 - 25.

Lambton Shores went scoreless in four power play opportunities, London went two for two.

Nikolas Dampier earned the win for London with 22 saves.  Brandon Campbell took the loss with 20.

The Predators remain in eighth spot but are being closely followed by the St. Marys Lincolns who are two points behind however they are two games up.  Next Friday the Predators will go up against the Lincolns in St. Marys. Game time 7:30 pm.
