At the Sarnia Hockey Association Christmas tournament the Major Atom Red and Orange teams earned a spot in the final after battling through all their competition. It was a sweet finish for these two teams who sat in the bottom of the league standings earlier in the season.

In the first round of action Team Red defeated Black 9 - 5, defeated the Mooretown Storm 2 - 1 and tied Orange 2 - 2. Advancing to the semi-finals the team defeated first seeded Yellow 5-2 en-route to the championship game vs. Orange.

For Team Orange the team shut out the Mooretown Storm in their first game with a final score of 1 - 0.  In game two the Orange crushed the Sarnia Black team 9 - 5.  Next day as previously reported Team Orange and Team Red tied 2 - 2.  In the semi finals Team Orange took an exciting 4 - 3 win over Sarnia Green that sent them to the finals.

In the Championship game both teams shared goals in the first period.  Team Red went on and scored goals in the second and third period to take the Atom Title with a final score of 3 - 1.
