Lambton Shores Predators win in OT

In The Lambton Shores Predators won 4-3 in overtime tonight over the St. Thomas Stars.  After a scoreless first period both teams shared power play goals in the second with St. Thomas scoring first at 4:18 by Drew Collinson and  Brett Thompson scoring at 18:19.

 

In the third Mike Iacocca took the lead for St. Thomas at 11:53.  Adam Arseneault tied the game at 12:03.  The Predators took the lead for the first time at 15:27 with Keegan Hnatiw scoring.  St. Thomas battled back and at 17:50 Martin Kudla scored the tying goal that sent the game into overtime.  With just 1:53 off the clock Kyle Brothers scored the winning goal.

 

Brandon Campbell stopped 25 of 28 shots to earn the win. Donald Edwards stopped 26 of 30 shots in the loss.

 

The Predators now sit four points up on the 8th place Lincolns with three games in hand and two points back of the 6th place Legionnaires with one game in hand.
 

The Predators are back in action Sunday night (Jan 20) at 8pm vs. the Strathroy Rockets at The Shores Arena in Forest.
