Lambton Shores Predators Lost but Clinch Playoff Spot

On Sunday night the Lambton Shores Predators traveled to St. Thomas and came up short losing 3 - 2 to the Stars.

St. Thomas took a 2 - 0 lead after the first period, then the Predators tied the score after scoring two in the second period.

Late in the third at 18:45 Mike Iacocca scored his second goal of the night and the game winner for the Stars.   Colin Mooner rounded out the scoring for St. Thomas.


Scoring for the Predators were Kyle Brothers and Connor Annett.  Justin Tugwell took the loss in net for the Predators stopping 31 of 34 shots.  Donald Edwards earned the win making 36 saves on 38 shots.

 

Despite the loss the Predators earned a playoff spot after the St. Mary's Lincolns lost 5 - 4 to the Chatham Maroons on Sunday.  The Predators are seven points ahead of St. Mary's with both teams having only three games left to play.

 

The Predators have two back to back games in St. Marys. The first game is set for Tuesday Feb 19 at 8:00 pm then back again on Friday for a 7:30 PM start.  The Predators last regular season home game is set for Saturday Feb 23 when they host London at 7:30.
