The Sarnia Spirit U16 Girls Soccer team took a pair of wins on the weekend before Christmas in U17 London Indoor Soccer League in London.

In the first league game played, Sarnia defeated London Portugese AC Dragons 5-1. Lauren Shaw, Cassie Forte, Kristy Hodgins, Claire Vandeneynde,Emma Colman, and Katie Barwitzki scored to give the Spirit the win.

In the second league game played, Sarnia defeated the Southend Wildcats 6-3 as Chloe Kennedy led the way with two goals, and singles to Cassie Forte, Kristy Hodgins, and Katie Barwitzki.

The Spirit leads the eleven team division with a record of 7 wins. 0 losses and 1 tie. The Girls are back in action in the New Year on January 12 when they play two games, the first against PCL Thunder (1-2-5) and the second game against Southend United Red Devils (2-1-5).
