McMillan, Bearhart Toss Week's High Triples

Kevin McMillan and Cid Bearheart tossed the high triples in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this past week at Marcin Bowl.

McMillan rolled 781 (269-258-254) in the Border City Men’s League to record the men’s high triple.

Bearhart tossed her personal best triple 698 (269-205-224) in the Sarnia Reserve Mixed League to record the women’s high triple.

 

 

The LCTA Youth Doubles bowling tournament was held at Marcin Bowl with 51 teams in competition for scholarship funds. The winning team was “Nicky Noes“ consisting of Nick Lapointe and Noah Best - 1586.

Second place team “Best Points“ was made up of Noah Best and Ben Lapointe - 1584. Third place team “Trouble Doubled“consisted of Nic Peckham and Jack Peckham - 1564.  Fourth place team “In It To Win” members were Joey Windover and Cameron Parkkila - 1527. Fifth place team “The Nuptups” consisted of Joel Graham and Aiden Coleman - 1515. High triples were Jordan Croskery 697 (270 - rolled 14 strikes but fouled on one), Rachel McGrath 664 (289 - 106 pins over average), Jordan Croskery 635 (235-233) and Connor Smith 634 (211-241). High over average for three games were Noah Best 531 (+ 174), Nick Lapointe 542 (+155), Aiden Coleman 458 (+149), Ben Lapointe 574 (+ 136), Morgan Pelkie 519 (+129), Nic Peckham 454 (+127), Kyleigh Beauvais 228 (+126), Caprice Hill 413 (+119), Jack Peckham 462 (+117), Rachel McGrath 664 (+115), Connor Smith 634 (+109), Emily Power 297 (+108), Mitchel Blake 430 (+106), Cameron Parkkila 296 (+104), Joey Windover 325 (+103), Tyler Hoadley 449 (+101)  and Shaylyn Black 136 (+100). Sarnia bowlers Jackie McLellan and Roy Elliott recently participated in the Jake Erb Memorial Ontario Senior Singles Tournament in St Catharines. They both won their respective divisions and have qualified to bowl in the Senior Tournament of Champions in Reno Nevada in 2014.

The Marcin Bowl Shoot Out on sport shot alley conditions was held Tuesday night with 34 bowlers in competition. The top eight qualifiers for match play were Bill Ridealgh 638, Roy Mezzatesta 633, Pam Marciniszyn 631, Pat McMillan 626, Rachel McGrath 611, Rod Honke 602, Jim Creasor 596 and Kyle Adamson 589. Jim Creasor defeated Pat McMillan in the final match. Next tournament will be held in mid January.

In the Marcin SMAA Youth Senior/Intermediate Youth division, the ladies’ top scores were Rachel McGrath 585 (279 - 100 pins over average), Kira Pelkie 462 and Laura Kameka 423 (180). The gent’s best scores were Jordan Croskery 684 (246-241), Colin Hanley 563 (207) and Matt Disper 172 (175).

Ron Gagnon fired 773 (279-278) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League rivalry. In the Hi-Way Youth Senior division, Cassandra Tremblay took care of the women’s high scores with 375 (129-131). Alex Pak was the gent’s top roller with 438 (159).

In the Hi-Way Youth Intermediate division, the girl’s high bowler was Taelor Koundakjian with 350 (148). On the boys’ side, top scores were Aidan Coleman 461 (160) and Colton Smith 424 (172).

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior division, the girls’ upper scores were Kaela Koundakjian 388 (162) and Isadora Tremblay 330. The boys’ noted scores were Domenic Cocozzoli 512 (211), Tyler Hoadley 479 (182) and Devon Crowe 443 (192).

In the Hi-Way Youth Senior Preps division, Katarena Vandeguchte was the girl’s high roller with 286 (108). The boys’ top wheelers were Cole Barber 476 (161-164) and Nic Peckham 369.

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior Preps division, the girls’ best scores were MacKayla Beauvais 279 (116) and Amber Watson 126. The boys’ main scores were Gavin Baillie 375 (139), Blake Ingles 293 (124), Nick Coggins 244, William LaFramboise 233 and Brodie McKinley’s 118 single.

In the Hi-Way Youth Bantams division, the girls’ notable scores were Elsa McKinley 213 (92), Laurianne Tremblay 192 (74), Kyleigh Beauvais Chad 186 (89) and Tyleigh Winger 160 (80).
