Derek DiMuzio Rejoins Club as Assistant Coach

 

Sarnia, On – Vice President of Operations Bill Abercrombie has announced the hiring of Derek DiMuzio as the club’s second Assistant Coach and Kevin Morgan will return as Video Coordinator.

 

DiMuzio rejoins the hockey club after previously serving as an Assistant Coach with the club for two seasons (2010/11 – 2011/12).  DiMuzio worked alongside then Associate Coach and now Head Coach Trevor Letowski during his original tenure.  Letowski is thrilled to add DiMuzio to his staff.

 

“Derek is the perfect guy to fill our second Assistant position.  His strengths are communication and his ability to teach.  He is already a role model in our community and he will be for our players as well.  We want to surround ourselves with quality hockey people but we also want to hire individuals with high character.  Derek certainly meets both of those criteria.”

 

DiMuzio also has experience previously working with the Sarnia Blast/Legionnaires having served as an Associate Coach with that organization helping guide them to a WOJHL Championship in 2010.

 

The Sting have also announced that Kevin Morgan will return to the club as its Video Coordinator.

 

Morgan has been with the club for the past two seasons working closely with the Coaching Staff in preparing game footage for review with players as well for game preparation.
