It was a rough weekend for the Sarnia Hockey Association Jr Sting taking 5 losses in regular league action.

The Peewees took two losses over the weekend with a home game 5 - 1 loss against the Brantford 99's on Saturday and on Sunday they traveled to Kitcheners and lost 5 - 1 to the Rangers.

The Minor Atoms were in Kitchener on Saturday and were downed in a 11 - 1 loss to the Rangers.  On Sunday the Minor Peewee team were in Hamilton and came home with a shut out 6 - 0 loss and the Bantams were in Burlington to got bitten by the Bulldogs 6 - 3. 

The Minor Bantams participated in a tournament at the Essex Ravens 35th Early Bird and went 1 - 2 - 1 over the weekend.  In game one on Friday they lost 3 - 0 to the Grimsby Peach Kings.  In their second game on the day they took a 7 - 0 loss against the Kent Cobras.  Saturday saw action against the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets where the two sides were even at 1 apiece.  In their final game on Sunday the Jr. Sting defeated the Hamburg Huskies 5 - 1.

The Minor Midgets were also at the Essex Raven's Tournament and bowed out in the semi's. READ FULL STORY
