Paton Takes Control in Sarnia Men’s Industrial Soccer

Paton Controls Men’s Industrial Soccer team completed a very strong season this summer going undefeated in league play and capturing all four trophies.  The team won the John Carleton Memorial Cup, League Title, Cosmos Cup and the Playoff Championship.  Paton ended the season with a record of 19-0-1 with 63 goals scored and 13 against. In the playoff championship, Paton defeated Esso by a score or 1-0 at Norm Perry Park on September 18th, 2012.  It was a hard fought game right to the final whistle with Paton scoring the only goal with 20 minutes remaining.  Jamie McCahil recorded his 10th shutout and Erin White was the lone goal scorer in the game. In early cup games, Paton defeated ANJ in penalties for the Carleton Cup and 1-0 for the Cosmos Cup.  It was MIG who took the lone point from Paton in a league game that ended in a 1-1 tie.  The 4 trophies and undefeated record is one of the best seasons for a team in the Sarnia Men’s Industrial Soccer League for a long time.
