September 14 -
On Friday night the Lambton Jr Sting hosted the London Jr
Knights at the RBC Center.
London came
straight out on the attack with shots to Lambton's net in the first
few seconds. The Jr Sting fought back clearing the puck and
played hard despite the Jr Sting picking up two penalties as London
was unable to score on the Lambton net. With a total of 24
saves in the first period by goaltender Luc Thorne-Smith they enter
the second with a score of 0-0.
The second
period was much like the first with some great defensive play by
Lambton and aggressive play by the forwards. Despite the hard
work London scored the first goal and lone goal in the second period
to head into the third period trailing 1 - 0.
The Jr Sting
were unable to maintain their momentum as London went on and scored
4 more goals to end the game with a final score of 5 - 0.
Despite the loss
Thorne-Smith played outstanding turning away 45 shots.

September 15 -
On Saturday the Jr Sting travel to Hamilton to face the Hamilton
Huskies.
Lambton came out
playing hard and move the puck well and with good defensive play
throughout the first period both sides were scoreless heading into
the second.
Hamilton took
the lead in the second but the Jr Sting answered back with a goal by
Nolan DeGurse. Hamilton regained the lead and added another
goal to end the second with the Jr Sting trailing 3 - 1.
The Huskies came out strong in the third
and added 3 goals but the Jr Sting didn't give up as Steele Harris
scored the Jr Sting second goal. Hamilton went on and scored
one more to end the game with a final score of 7 - 2.
Despite the loss goalie Liam McCarthy
made solid saves in net for the Jr Sting.
