Team Canada U18 going for Gold at the World Baseball Championships

Canada took a 9 -3 loss today against the host South Korea.  Canada took the lead in the 4th inning scoring 2 runs. Damage began in the 5th for Canada as South Korea scored 4 runs then in the 7th they added 5 more to take the 9 - 2 lead.  Canada added their final run in the 7th.

Despite the loss Canada will be playing in the Gold Medal Game.  Canadian players were informed prior to taking on South Korea that they had already clinched a spot in the tournament final.

Canada finished the second round with a 3 - 2 record and will play the winner of today's Japan/USA game which is taking place at the time of this posting.
