Sting Deal Alberga To Kitchener

September 6, 2012

Sarnia, On –  Sarnia Sting General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced this afternoon that the Hockey Club has dealt overage forward Domenic Alberga to the Kitchener Rangers.

The Sting have received a 6th round pick (originally Windsor’s) in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection in return from the Rangers.

Beaulieu commented on the decision to move Alberga.

“We felt it was important to get down to our three overage players.  With JP Anderson, Charlie Sarault and Craig Hottot we feel like our group of 20 year olds is as strong as any team in the league.  Domenic came in last year and did everything we could ask from him.  Again we just felt it was important for our hockey club to be set with the three players heading into the regular season.  We wish Domenic all the best in Kitchener and moving forward both on and off the ice.”
