The Jr. Vikings
football team
continued their
winning ways
with a 70-14 win
over a St. Pat's
team that fought
hard until the
final whistle.
The Vikings
scored twice in
the first
quarter. Blake
Maxfield started
things off with
a 60 yard run at
the 11:00 mark,
and Austin
Cooper turned a
defensive
interception
into a touchdown
several minutes
later. Maxfield
converted both
extra points.
The Vikings had
a big second
quarter, putting
five majors on
the scoreboard.
Cooper added his
second touchdown
and Kobe Lundy
scored the next
two from the
quarterback
position. With
3:00 left in the
2nd, Niles Crews
ran the ball in
from 20 yards
out, and Easton
Klaudi brought
the half to a
close with a 15
yard scramble
into the endzone.
Maxfield
continued his
perfect record
with extra
points.
The Vikings led
49-0 at the
half.
St. Pat's opened
the 3rd quarter
scoring with a
touchdown and
extra point of
their own. The
Vikings
responded with
another major on
a big 90 yard
run from Crews
and a Maxfield
extra point. The
4th quarter saw
another
touchdown from
the Irish and
two more majors
from the
Vikings, first
on a Jordan
Walsh 60 yard
run and then on
a final
touchdown from
Vincent Ham on a
kickoff return.
Maxfield
maintained his
perfect extra
point display.
The game ended
Vikings 70, St.
Pat's 14.
