On - The Legionnaires and the London Nationals were tied 4 - 4
after three periods of play in Greater Ontario Hockey League action on
Thursday in London Thursday night. Sarnia scored a lone goal in
the first period by Derek D'Andrea from Bobby King and Matt Cimetta.
In the second London scored two goals
take the lead, but Sarnia came answered back with a pair to regain the
lead. Jason Teschke tied things up with Matt Cimetta assisting and
Steve Farlow scored on the powerplay with Jeff King and Davis Boyer
assisting. Derek Todosichuk and Matt Wildman scored for London.
The see saw continued in the third period
as London's Blake Thomas scored on the power play to tie the game.
Couple of minutes later Sarnia regained the lead with Zack Tuchklaper
scoring with Cimetta earning his 3rd point of the night with the assist.
Midway in the period London scored to tie and the two sides ended the
regulation time sending the game into overtime. Overtime didn't solve
the game and Sarnia outshot London 2 - 1 in the shootout. Jason
Teschke and Josh Kestner scored in shoot out for the Legionnaires.
Paul Hopkins scored the only shoot out goal for London.
Sarnia outshot London 40 - 27.
Sarnia went 1 for 4 on the power play, London went 1 for 8.
Sean Parker earned the win in net for the Legionnaires making a total of
23 saves.
Sarnia is back in action on Thursday
September 27 when they host the Chatham Maroons at the Sarnia Arena,
game time 7:10 pm.
