Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting Head Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced this afternoon that overage forward Taylor Carnevale has been scheduled for season ending shoulder surgery.

Carnevale, acquired by the Sting this past off season has been hampered with shoulder problems throughout most of the season.

Beaulieu released the following statement regarding Carnevale.

“It is real unfortunate for Taylor that this effectively ends what has been an outstanding OHL career.  Taylor gave the Sarnia Sting all that he had but at the end of the day this injury would not allow him to perform up to his capabilities.  In opting to have this surgery now the hope is Taylor will be 100% for a pro training camp in September.”
