On Saturday the Atom Blackhawks played host to Mt Brydges Gold and fell short with a final score of 6 - 5

The Blackhawks started the 1st period with a goal late in the period keeping Mt Brydges off the score sheet. They were able to do the same in the 2nd period, scoring the 1st goal but the visitors were able to come back to tie the game up scoring 3 goals in the 2nd period.

 

The Blackhawks opened the 3rd period with a goal early, however Mt Brydges came out fighting and didn't give up, scoring 3 more goals in the 3rd period, leaving the Blackhawks shy by 1, even after a late period goal. Scoring the goals was Nick Kootstra with 2, a goal each from Jeff Horner, Ethan Boucher and Matthew Davis.  Assists from Owen Shearon, Justin Waun, Jeff Horner and Jaxon Lucas.

 

On Monday night The Atom Blackhawks bounced back and defeated Lambton Shores 5-0 on their own ice.

The Blackhawks scored all the goals in the 1st and 2nd periods as the Predators were able to keep them from scoring in the 3rd period.

Earning 2 points in the game for Point Edward with a goal and assist were Matthew Davis, Ethan Boucher and Shaun McDermott.  Other goal scorers were Nicolas Robson, Nick Kootstra.   Assists in the game were from Jeff Horner, Daniel Luciani and Owen Shearon.
