Lady Jr Sting Bantam BB heading into playoffs on right track

The Sarnia Jr Sting Bantam BB shutout the Lambeth Lancers by a score of 1 - 0  last weekend at the RBC Centre.

 Avery Devereaux scored on a hard wrap around to put the sting up 1 -0.  Ashley William and Vanessa Wardell assisted on the winning goal.

 Whitney Simpson had another solid game in net and earned the shutout.


Coach Owen Lockhart is pleased with his team performance as he feels the team
to be on the right track heading into playoffs. 

 

In the first round of playoffs the Lady Jr Sting will go up against the Kent County Fillies.  In regular season action the two sides played each other twice and each came away with a win.  Sarnia placed 4th in the standings with going 11-8-3 for a total of 25 points.  Kent County were on their heals in 5th spot going 10-8-4 for 24 points.  The Lady Sting has home ice advantage and the first game will be played on Sat Feb 11 at the RBC Centre.
