The
Lambton Junior
Sting Minor
PeeWee AAA
participated in
the Nations Cup
in Warren,
Michigan from
January 20 – 22
and were matched
up with some of
the top ranked
teams in the
United States.
This tournament
provided a tough
test for the
Sting and
although they
would lose 4 of
the 5 games
played, the
scores were all
close and the
coaching staff
was pleased with
the solid
effort.
On Friday,
Lambton would
lose a low
scoring game to
the Mid
Fairfield Blues
by a final score
of 1 – 0 in the
morning. In the
afternoon the
Sting would fall
behind by a 2 –
0 margin to the
Philadelphia
Little Flyers
before Tristan
Haagsma and Joey
Ferrera would
score 2 quick
goals in the 3rd
period to tie
the game at 2.
The Sting would
be called for a
penalty late in
the period and
the Flyers would
score the go
ahead goal and
score again into
the empty net
for a final
score of 4 – 2.
Joey Ferrera and
Dante Fuoco
would pick up
assists in this
game.
On Saturday
morning, the
Sting would put
in a solid
effort against
Honeybaked, but
lose by a final
score of 4 – 1.
Nolan Farr would
score the lone
goal in this
game, with Jake
Vince picking up
the assist. In
the afternoon,
the boys were
determined to
pick up a win
and they would
be rewarded in
defeating the
St. Louis Blues
by a final score
of 5 – 2.
Lambton would
fall behind
early, but would
bounce back with
3 goals in the 2nd
period and 2
goals in the 3rd
to take the
win. Scoring
the goals in
this game were
Joey Ferrera,
Cameron Adam,
Cameron
Rombouts, Dante
Fuoco and Nolan
Farr. Cameron
Adam would also
earn 2 assists,
with single
assists going to
Joe Correia,
Lucas Knowles,
Theo Crombeen,
Cameron

Vince and Josh
Vale.
Lambton would
finish the round
robin portion of
the tournament
seeded 4th
of the 6
Canadian teams
and would face
the 4th
ranked American
team, the
Philadelpia
Little Flyers on
Sunday morning.
The Sting would
fall behind by a
3 – 0 margin in
this game before
putting a late 3rd
period surge
together in
which Theo
Crombeen and
Nolan Farr would
score to narrow
the margin to 3
– 2. The boys
would pressure
to the final
buzzer with the
goalie pulled
for an extra
attacker, but
would fall by a
final score of 3
– 2. Joe
Correia would
receive 2
assists in this
game, while
Jordan Hurtubise
and Alec Trusler
would each pick
up 1 assist.
