Lambton Minor Peewee AAA were off to Solid Start

The Lambton Junior Sting Minor PeeWee AAA were off to a solid start to the new year picking up 3 wins and a tie to bring their league record to 8 wins, 9 losses and 8 ties.

 

In their first game of 2012 the Sting would defeat Chatham by a final score of 5 – 1.  Nolan Farr would score 2 goals in this game, Cameron Rombouts and Theo Crombeen would each pick up 1 goal and 1 assist, Lucas Knowles would score 1 goal, Cameron Adam would receive 2 assists and Jake Vince, Joey Ferrera, Joe Correia and Alec Trusler would pick up single assists.  Josh Bayne would be the winning goalie.

 

On January 7,  Lambton would win a close 1 – 0 contest over the Brantford 99ers with Josh Vale picking up the only goal of the game with assists going to Alec Trusler and Gage Langford.  Jacob Knowles was the winning goalie in this game.

On January 8,  the Sting would lose a close game with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires by a final score of 3 – 2.  Goal scorers in this game were Lucas Knowles and Jake Vince and Joey Ferrera picked up 2 assists.

 

On Monday January 9, the Sting would travel to Bothwell to take on the Chatham Cyclones and win this game by a final score of 4 – 0.  Picking up the goals in this game were Tristan Haagsma, Joe Correia, Josh Vale and Jordan Hurtubise.  Assists were picked up by Josh Vale, Gage Langford, Dante Fuoco, Theo Crombeen, Cameron Adam and Matthew Torti.  Jacob Knowles would record the shutout in the net.
