The St. Christopher Cyclones won the Junior Boys Soccer Title on home turf taking a 9 - 0 win over the North Lambton Eagles.
The Cyclones took 1st place in the regular season standings . North Lambton took second place with 3 wins, 1 Overtime win and 2 losses.
"I thought the boys were rewarded for their efforts for the season playing at home." said Cyclones Head Coach Rich Prudom. "We had a quick start to the game and it really helped set the tone and it made the rest of the game easy for us to control.
North Lambton battle hard but could not solve netminder Christian Lyle who earned the shut out making several key saves.
"Christian Lyle had to make two or three good saves to keep us in it and all year and he did it again today for us." said Prudom
"In order to be successful we have to have good defence and they kept the ball out of the back of the net and the forwards did the rest."
Top goal scorer of the game was Joey Eddleston scoring three. Franco Sproviero and Quinn D'Andrea each scored two and Cody Yruegaz and Matt Pitt rounded out the total scoring one each.
