The Wallaceburg
Lakers suffered
their first loss
in four games in
Great Lakes Jr C
Hockey action by
losing to the
second place
Essex 73's 6-2.
After a
scoreless first
period with
Essex leading
3-0 the Lakers
rallied back to
pick up two
goals.
Netting the
first goal for
the Lakers was
Sam Jasmin
assisted by Jake
Carter at the
1:34 mark of the
second followed
by a goal from
Jeff Nolfo
assisted by
Justin Whitson
and Kyle
Jacobson ending
the second
period 4-2.
In the third
period Essex
added two more
goals to win the
game.
Devin Cove
played strong in
net blocking
thirty four of
forty shots on
net.
" We didn't get
off to a good
start" said Head
Coach Paul
Grealis. " The
guys were not
strong on the
puck. We have to
make the game
simple, defense
first. We are
not a run and
gun team said
Grealis.
